Our dedicated ventilator unit features a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team of health care providers. Our care team includes a pulmonologist, a respiratory therapist, RNs, LPNs and other professional caregivers. Every member of our team works with the resident and family to help recover maximum function for residents with needs for a ventilator.

For residents with respiratory issues, a ventilator can literally save a life. However, long term it is best for the resident to recover the ability to breathe independently. Our care team works tirelessly to provide support, encouragement and care to help our residents move out of the vent unit and into the next stage of their treatment program, whether that is home or a different area of our facility.

Our dedicated vent unit works in tandem with our pulmonary rehab program, when appropriate, to design a treatment program that is best for our resident. Each resident has different needs and requests, and our staff of professionals is here to help each resident regain the most breathing ability possible.

A Nurse With a Ventilator

Dedicated to Weaning Residents

The best outcomes and health recovery occur when the resident is weaned from the ventilator as soon as safely possible.

Our goal is to wean every resident off of the ventilator units as safely and as quickly as possible. If necessary, residents easily move into our pulmonary rehab program.
